Thailand Investment Visa

Investment Visa

If you invest 3 million baht in the Kingdom you may be eligible for a one year investment visa.

You can be eligible for a one year extension of stay based on investment if you make an investment of 3 million baht or more in the Kingdom.

The Investment can take the form of:

  • 3 Million Baht deposited into a Term Savings account with an appro
    investment visa status
    ved government Bank.
  • A new condominium purchased from a Thai developer for 3 Million Baht or more.
  • 3 Million Baht invested into government bonds.

It is commonplace to apply for this type of visa with an existing non-immigrant (B) visa, but a change of visa can be easily executed once the appropriate evidence of investment is supplied.

• With a one year investment visa you are not required to leave the country. You will simply report to immigration every 90 days.

• All funds must be shown to have originated outside Thailand.

• Second hand condominiums are not eligible for this visa type.

• A leasehold condominium will not qualify for the investment visa, you must own the condominium freehold.
